Privacy Policy

PSI is an ESP and psychic-training game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information PSI collects, why, and the choices you have. PSI is operated by Collab168 Pty Ltd (New South Wales, Australia). You can contact us at hello@playpsi.com.

The short version

PSI has no user accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, or phone number to use the app. We do collect an anonymous device identifier and certain gameplay, subscription, and app-performance data so the game, leaderboards, subscriptions, and app reliability can work.

Device identifiers and any optional demographics are personal data. We do not sell data, run advertising, or use information to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information we collect

Anonymous device identifier

On installation, PSI generates a random 122-bit UUID called a deviceId. It identifies that installation to our backend and is stored only on your device and in our database. It is not your name, email address, phone number, or a hardware advertising identifier. It resets if you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

Optional profile information

You may choose a codename or handle for public leaderboards. If you choose one, other players can see it on the leaderboard.

You may also choose to provide your country and a coarse age range. Both are optional and can be skipped indefinitely. We do not ask for your date of birth and do not collect information from people under 13.

Gameplay records

We sync training sessions, guesses, outcomes, and scores to our Convex backend. We use these records to operate the game and leaderboards, and to measure gameplay results against chance baselines.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

We use PostHog for product analytics and error tracking. This can include screens viewed, funnel events such as a session starting, a paywall being viewed, or a purchase completing, and crash stack traces. PostHog processes this data in the United States. We do not include your raw deviceId or optional demographics in PostHog event payloads.

Purchases and subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and store receipt data. Apple or Google processes payment through the App Store or Google Play; we never receive or store your payment card details.

Audio

PSI generates its training tones on your device. It does not stream or download audio recordings, and we do not collect anything from your microphone.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve PSI, maintain leaderboards, manage subscriptions, diagnose crashes, understand aggregate product usage, prevent misuse, and respond to support requests. We do not use it for advertising or to build advertising profiles.

Service providers

We use the following processors to operate PSI:

• Convex, for our backend and gameplay/leaderboard data.
• PostHog, for analytics and error tracking, including processing in the United States.
• RevenueCat, for subscription and receipt management.
• Apple App Store and Google Play, for billing and purchase processing.

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own role as platform provider, as applicable.

No advertising or tracking

PSI has no advertising and no data-broker relationships. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. For app-store privacy labels, none of the information described here is used to track you.

Deleting your information

In the app, go to Profile → Data & privacy to see and copy your deviceId. Email hello@playpsi.com with that identifier and ask us to delete your data. We will delete the associated backend row and RevenueCat customer record.

If you reinstall PSI or clear its app storage, the old deviceId is orphaned and the new installation receives a new identifier. Reinstalling does not itself delete the old backend or RevenueCat records; email us if you want those deleted.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to run PSI and its leaderboards, subject to the default retention practices of our processors. Gameplay rows are kept while the leaderboard needs them. We may keep limited information where necessary for legal obligations, dispute resolution, security, or enforcing our agreements.

Children

PSI is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact hello@playpsi.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PSI changes or legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.
